Designer Irina Shabayeva quickly became a big name in fashion. Shabayeva who by the way is 29 years old and was born in the Republic of Georgia and raised in Brooklyn, New York has created her new Spring 2012 collection which she titled “Addicted to Love”.

“For me, designing is an expression of who I am as a woman.” In fact, Irina credits her feminine instincts and her diverse heritage to her success. Her line encompasses everything from swimwear to cashmere coats. Shabayeva pulls her inspiration from art, nature, world travel and fantasy. For Irina, fashion has never been just about clothes – it’s about life style and she proves it in her Spring 2012 collection which featured forty-eight beautiful, sexy looks.

“I design for a girl that isn’t afraid, a girl that’s adventurous in what she wears and loves prints.” –Irina said backstage.

The collection, started with a series casual but at the same time sexy dresses in a variety of bright colors including yellow, reds, greens, pinks, whites and blues with a distinct pattern on each which was reflective of a sun dial. The dresses were all body hugging with one shoulder versions, three quarter sleeves, short sleeves and maxi skirts. Shabayeva also included in the collection evening gowns and cocktail dresses, which also featured the bright colors utilized in the previous looks, including a strapless orange beaded gown, yellow and pink and silver sequined frocks, a floor length orange gown, and a red strapless gown with sequins and a hot pink sash sewn into the top of the dress that fell off the shoulders for an added touch.

Season Six “Project Runway” winner Irina Shabayeba has been busy since her 2008 srowning. Irina recently has dressed celebs like Selena Gomez, Rutina Wesley, Lady Gaga, Alison Brie and many more. What a great colorful collection of flirty-fun casual wear dresses, stunning evening gowns, cocktail dresses and very playful and interesting bright rain coats.
