El artista y diseñador de la moda brasileña A.Z. Araujo presento su colección otoño / invierno 2010 colección de trajes de baño durante la Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.

El tema fue inspirado en África y es ciertamente sentimos como si estuviéramos en un reino de los estampados de animales, piel bonzeada, y hemosos cuerpos. Los estilos de traje de baño de Araujo fueron de lujo y bellamente exóticos, pero aún suaves con colores como: verde metalito, amarillo, incluyendo estampados con colores como el cafe, gris y negro, mezclando y combinando piezas. Hechos con hermosas telas y materiales que proporcionan un movimiento suave en la pasaela. Los traje de baño masculinos también se muestra en una amplia gama con corte brasileño. La colección de Araujo tiene un estilo exclusivo, atractivo y sensual que usted no encontrará en otras marcas de trajes de baño.

AZ Araujo Fall / Winter 2010

The Artist and Brazilian fashion designer AZ Araujo presented his collection Fall / Winter 2010 swimwear collection during Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.

The theme was inspired by Africa and is certainly felt like we were in a kingdom of animal prints, in hot tan bodies. The styles of swimwear of Araujo were beautifully exotic luxury, but yet soft with colors like: metallic green, yellow, including prints with colors like brown, gray and black, mixing and matching pieces. Made with beautiful fabrics and materials that provide a smooth movement on the runway. Araujo’s collection has a unique style, attractive and sensual that you will not find in other brands of swimwear.

El diseñador Manuel de la Cruz presento su colección (Otoño-Invierno 2010) durante la Semana de la Moda de Nueva York el sábado 13 de febrero 2010 en The Altman Building.

Revelaciones, es como llama a su nueva colección, presentará su filosofía de diseño. Manuel está siempre buscando maneras de celebrar el cuerpo humano con su particular estilo y visión. La combinación de formas clásicas con un toque moderno, se ha creado un “look” femenino sencillo para la mujer con una vida social muy ocupada y para los hombre fue un “look” muy masculino que no tiene miedo de ser sexy y exquisitamente diferente.

En esta colección Manuel mostro en la pasarela su alta gama /una linea lista para usar para hombres y mujeres. Una gama de colores oscuros transiciones a una familia completa color de la luz en rojo, verde, azul marino, y color camello de contraste. El uso de la lana en diferentes mezclas que es constante en la colección para hombres y mujeres; mezclas de seda y el cuero le darán un brillo a la línea. Trajes sastre y abrigos a la colección reinado. Vestidos de coctel y hermoso decorado separa inspirada en el arte maya será definir el aspecto de las Revelaciones. Los accesorios fue trabajó en colaboración con Dany Escobar presenta una nueva línea de zapatos, pulseras, collares y tocados.

Manuel De La Cruz FW2010

Designer Manuel De la Cruz presented his collection (Fall-Winter 2010) during New York Fashion Week on Saturday February 13, 2010 at The Altman Building .

Revelations, as he calls his new collection, will present his design philosophy. Manuel is always looking for ways to celebrate the human body with his particular style and vision. Combining classic shapes with a modern twist, he has created a straightforward feminine look for the woman with a very busy social agenda and a masculine man who is not afraid to be sexy and exquisitely different.

In this collection Manuel showed on the runway his high end/ ready-to-wear line for men and women. A dark palette transitions to a complete light color family using red, green, navy blue, and camel to contrast. The use of wool in different blends it’s a constant in the collection for men and women; Silk blends and leather will give a sheen to the line. Tailored suits and coats will reign the collection. Cocktail dresses and beautiful embellished separates inspired by Mayan art will define the look of Revelations. Accessories worked in collaboration with Dany Escobar present a new line of shoes, bracelets, necklaces and headpieces.

VASSILIOS KOSTETSOS Fall 2010 NY

Vassilios Kostetsos’ fall 2010 collection was displayed on Sunday February 14, 2010. It was the last show for the night at Bryant Park. As the exhaustion hit from the entire day’s worth of show after show, the hope for the last show to end with a bang was written on everyone’s faces. Little did they know, that is was exactly what they were going to get, and then some. As the lights went down, a deep bass bomb blazed from the speakers in the room and the backdrop of the runway lit up bright red; the same color as the invitation. The sounds of a woman climaxing from an orgasm swarmed throughout the tent and immediately caught everyone’s attention. And if you weren’t awake yet, then you were about to be. The lights came on, the beat dropped, and the first few models stomped the runway like Grecian sex robots.

Vassilios focused on love and the battles fought to defend and protect it for this collection. He managed to incorporated poetic accents on extremely eroticized looks. The love portion of the pieces was portrayed through soft textures and patterns such a shear tights, waist wraps, and gloves with Aphrodite vividly imprinted on them like a tattoo. The more aggressive side was portrayed with high epaulettes, metallic zippers, brightly colored leather, and various animal skins. The collection offered a range of silhouettes from super tight dresses to large overcoats then to almost not wearing anything at all. Among them were skimpy silk dresses belted with python and leather, patent leather booty shorts paired with shear blouses and knee high boots, and 80’s style cerulean leather jackets with exaggerated shoulders.

For Vassilios Kostetsos, his home country of Greece provides him with endless inspiration. However, he also does like to keep up with the time and as the trends became more and more modern, so did he. His reinterpretation of dramatic Greek love with an S&M twist was an extremely liberating way to end the night.

There was an ultra sexy vibe this season at Georges Chakra. The collection displayed a variety of textures and intricate detailing too fine to miss. The first looks were fitted red, blue, and black cocktail dresses with black grosgrain details on the back. Then as the show progressed you began to see tight flattering skirts and satin and laced tops.

Georges intended on making references to men’s attire fit for a modern powerful woman. The high lite of this portion of the collection was when Georges played around with gender roles by constructing men’s blazers and suits into backwards tops and dresses. Among other pieces in the collection were some great revealing beaded gowns with nude inserts and finished with a silver lattice tufted brocade off the shoulder gown. The result, an exciting display of some day and mostly night pieces done lavishly luxe.

Joaquin Trias presented his fall 2010 collection in the Promenade on February 18th at Bryant Park. The theme for this collection was Vertical strength and was inspired by all things linear. The designer was definitely able to stick with his vision throughout the entire show. This was the second season Trias has presented in Bryant Park and his collection was overall very focused yet very minimal.

The color pallet consisted of taupes, plums, blacks, grays and aqua blue’s. Featured looks included wool trench coat dresses with charcoal insets, long sleeve dresses and high waisted trousers. Accessories included ombré tights with high heeled leather Mary Janes. Models were given strong eyebrows to enhance the structured appearance of the collection. Although, the collection didn’t show the widest range of garments, everything was beautifully made and obviously well constructed.

Wenlan decided to play with a more sophisticated color palette this season by using black, creams, grays, and deep berry and purple shades. However, the clothing still had a sense of playfulness and youth that was still evident because of the styles. Some of her dresses in the show included adorable fitted wool cocktail dresses with black stitched detailing, grey tank dresses with enlarged pockets, a bevy of cute bubble dresses, and creamy satin sleeved dresses for a nighttime look.

She did incorporate her signature chunky knits here and there in the collection as well. Huge knit sweaters belted over a printed blouse and a charming knit dress, which she personally picked as a personal favorite backstage. The prints on some of the garments were black and white etched patterns and deep red paisley.

All in all, Wenlan did a fantastic job giving young girls sweet clothing that match the time, their age, and their personalities. With much to choose from in this particular collection, there sure will be a great outfit to put on for any time of the day, for any kind of Twinkle girl.
