Betsey Johnson, the Queen of Cartwheels and the playful genius of fashion, gave us a SS09 collection inspired by Peter Pan. All the pieces were influenced by pirates or pixies, with a dash of 80’s club kid for flavor, and topped off with some quirky hat/styling combos. There were cotton candy wigs, skulls, and lots of colorful ruffles.

The models, even when sporting strangely attractive hoop-skirted dresses in kiddy-nursery prints, didn’t G-rate their sex appeal.
