NICOLA FORMICHETTI LAST DAY

There are infinite adjectives to describe who is Nicola Formichetti. The Japan born and Italian background, designer, creative director, stylist, mastermind (and the list can go on for pages) has numerous titles and work done worldwide. Most recently, his pop up shop in the Tribeca area of the city of New York, is what everyone’s eye is spotting. Nicola Formichetti, seems to be a man of contradictions; his personality is open yet reserved, he’s approachable yet introverted, his mind jumps constantly between reality and fantasy, yet regardless, his uniqueness is utmost imperfection. There are very few designers that devote themselves to their work and people, and artist Nicola Formichetti is one of those few. He can be seen around his store located at Walker Street in the Tribeca area, between changing the scenery of the store or just rumbling around in his thoughts; regardless, he’s a fascinating man worth watching.

Smile or waving, Formichetti is someone of humble and simplicity, wearing few garments and easily seen riding his bike. A lot can be said about Nicola, but to really know him will not only be a task but a privilege. His store carries what he calls “everything I love” in one same spot, where mirrored floors and walls reflect every piece’s facets and giving the buying experience a whole new level. Containing diverse people working at the store, the all is a beautiful product. Between GaGa-worn garments, one-of-a-kind products and pieces only available at the store (until the store is dissolved), there’s something for everyone; either to buy, see or just try it on.

The store’s virtual page will be released alongside worldwide shipping, just in time for the sale of items
which hasn’t been sold, regarding the store’s aperture only until September 21st.

Nicola’s will only be open for a limited time, a place worth the travel, time and effort; and if one is lucky enough, you can catch
a glimpse of Formichetti himself.
