Daphne Guinness Becomes The Real Savage Beauty.
Such a poetic and avant-garde moment that only a fashion crowd enjoyed outside Barney’s New York , the real Daphne Guinness was invited to dress up to the eyes of the public inside Barney’s window between Madison and sixty first , the special occasion was related to the most famous event of the fashion industry “The Met Gala“, event that was held at the Metropolitan Museum . This year the Costume Exhibition celebrates Alexander Mc Queen work trough the years from his first collection since 1992 to the recent work of his label , the exhibition was named “Savage Beauty” and was the theme this year for The Met Ball Gala, which this year is taking New York City upside down with the fashion industry and off course who better to represent and attend to this special event that no other than Daphne Guinness a Journalist, fashion icon and Mc Queen lover to death, this time in companion with Barnye’s New York, Daphne decided dress up for the Met Gala to the eyes of the world , early during the day people from Barney’s send e-mails to everyone spreading the word that the most famous fashion icon was going to be dressing in one of their windows ,adding to that they broadcast everything on live streaming. The moment started sharp at 5 o’clock and after that it only took less than 5 minutes for Daphne Guinness to put on a Mc Queen lavender feathery gown from the S/S 2011 collection designed by Sarah Burton , the dramatic gown was put on Daphne’s body by an assistant.
As the gathered crowd watched the epic moment, she was giving life to the famous artistic piece, minutes later Daphne went outside the building looking dazzling as always , she left to the Met Gala in a 280 S.E collectible Mercedes Benz convertible that was waiting for her outside Barney’s flagship store.
Another fashion celebrities we’re there at the moment, the Editor At Large for Vogue Hamish Bowles was one of them, he was looking very fashion forward in an Alexander Mc Queen reminiscent tartan -Scottish plaid tuxedo and embellished cape, the tux and cape are from Alexander previous collections, he paired the look by wearing some amazing customized Christian Loboutins.
Daphne rock the day & night, her reserved intriguing eyes and astonishing ferocious look left us in an enchanted history that I would like to call “Daphne Guinness becomes the real savage beauty“.
