Author: Johan Light Britney Spears - Blackout (Pop)

It’s finally here. Believe it or not, its actually better than we expected. The pop star has proven her music still has fire on the charts, air play and club play. The dance fueled album has 12 new tracks. Gimme More, the track that has been burning up. Radar, Piece of me, Break The Ice, Heaven, and 7 other tracks are part of this CD.
I have a feeling that despite everything that Britney has done she will debut high in the charts. I have to admit, I will be getting myself a copy.
Blackout is expected to sell around 250,000 copies on its 1st week!
PS. JIVE said that the early release date was forced on them due to songs leaking to the Internet without permission.
BSB -Unbreakable (Pop)

The guys are back! older, wiser, and still full of talent. Unbreakable is BSB’s sixth studio album. Just like old days, its going up head to head with Britney’s release. Same target market of listeners. Inconsolable was the first single off the album, which debuted in late August. The album has 14 tracks: Everything But Mine, Something That I Already Know, One In A Million, Panic, and Unmistakable. Treat Me Right was a track that was produced by former N’Sync member J.C. Chasez. This is the first studio album that doesn’t include Kevin Richardson. He left the band last year. The guys seem to be doing well with just the remaining four. Their album debuted at #1 in Japan and Germany. Where the album was released a couple of days earlier than in the states.
We will be at the BSB’s CD Release at Times Square Virgin Megastore tonight to bring you guys some amazing shots, if you live in in the Tri-state area run to the Virgin and get your cd, also you will get a bracelet to get to meet BSB in person.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD-AVENGED SEVENFOLD (Rock)

A7X, The metal/rock group from Huntington Beach, California have been together since they got together in 1999 and debuted in 2001. They didn’t get much recognition till 2005, when they were helped out by Warner Bros., when they released City of Evil. In 2006 they won Best New artist at the MTV Awards. Now, releasing their self titled album, expect Avenged Sevenfold to be the new generation of Metallica influenced, hardcore metal. They have a huge fan base, and honestly even thou metal might not be my genre of music. You know good music when you hear it. Check out
DVD
EL CANTANTE

The latino power couple bring the life of Hector Lavoe to life. With a stellar performance by Marc Anthony. The film takes you through the trials and tribulations of the salsa king. John Ortiz also stars in the movie as Willie Colon. Directed by Leon Ichaso. If you a fan of Salsa/Latin music the soundtrack is a must get. The movie has an indie feel to it which we love.
SPIDER-MAN 3

The third installment to the action packed comic book hero movie is now available. Tobey Maguire, Kristen Dunst, Topher Grace & James Franco made this action packed summer movie a hit. Directed by Sam Raimi, this movie will be #1 on the DVD charts. As Peter Parker takes on the new goblin (Franco) and the long awaited debut of Venom(Grace). Of course what would it be with out Mary Jane(dunst). It will also be sold as a Trilogy. Will there be another Spider-Man Movie? We think & hope so.
STARRBOOTY

The phenomenal movie directed by the guy with the eye, Mike Ruiz. Starring Rupaul as Starrbooty, Candis Cayne, Lady Bunny, Michael Lucas and more of NYC’s Gay Elite. A movie on shall we say drag/gay exploitation. We loved this movie and Metrovelvet loves everyone that was involved in the film. SO GET YOUR COPY!
Metrovelvet whipped up something special, we’ll be at the Virgin Megastore Union Square and so will the cast. So get down there. MV will be bringing you some exclusive interviews!

Author: Johan LightDANCING WITH THE STARS

MONDAY @ 8 P.M. on ABC
Dancing With The Stars, over the seasons has proven to be America’s favorite reality show. Holding strong at the #2 spot on ratings, with over 19 million viewers tuning in weekly. Last week Mark Cuban was eliminated. There are only seven couples left in the competition.Who are you favorite ballroom dancing couples. I’m cheering for Cameron/Edyta & Jane/Tony. We’re really going to be able to see who stands out, when the remaining couples take the floor for their first group routine! Tuesday night is always the results show. Last week Jennifer Lopez rocked the house. Who will it be this week?
IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN CHARLIE BROWN

TUESDAY @ 8 P.M. on ABC
I had to throw in this little special. I’m a huge CHARLES SCHULZ fan. (creator of the Peanuts) Maybe a child at heart, but we never grow out of Charlie Brown! Aw the days of innocent great cartoons. Schulz first made this one in 1966, and its still going strong. Throw this one on for the kids or just for yourself. Take an hour and feel young again and reminisce!
NIP/TUCK PREMIER

TUESDAY @ 10 P.M. on FX
The boys take McNamara/Troy to Beverly Hills. Sean and Christian try to rebuild their practice in the land of the riches. Season five looks like its going to start of with a bang. With some of our favorite returning characters. Lottery winner Dawn Budge played by Rosie O’Donnell will be returning. As patient Bliss Berger (Leslie Grossman),returns as well. Plus a huge roster of guest stars, Jennifer Coolidge, Portia de Rossi, Craig Bierko, Daphne Zuniga, Oliver Platt, Tia Carrere, & many more. If your a not a regular Nip/Tuck viewer give this drama a chance. You’ll get hooked! The earlier seasons are great try getting the previous season that are now on DVD.
TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO

TUESDAY @ 11:34 P.M. on NBC
Jay has a great line up on Tuesday night. Tom Cruise will be on promoting his new movie Lions for Lambs, where Tom plays a senator with an agenda. Tom’s performance has been getting rave reviews. Staying on the topic of politics, the man shaking up the Presidential race Ron Paul will also be on. Would be a sight to see Tom and Ron interact. Sex Pistols will also be performing.
GOSSIP GIRL

WEDNESDAY @ 9 P.M. on CW
ERRR!!! Your going to have to wait till November 7th for an all new shocking and scandalous episode. “Nothing will ever be the same again!” That’s the only tease and preview they give us. After last week’s Masquerade drama we just cant wait!
WEDNESDAY NIGHT HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Always a new episode of THE METROVELVET SHOW every Wednesday. Also get out to the Famous Halloween Parade in The Village NYC. Metrovelvet will be out, covering the amazing event. If you see us out there, say hello! We want to see your costume! Enjoy guys & have a Safe Halloween!
SMALLVILLE

Thursday 8 P.M. on CW
An all new Smallville. Kara is searching for the crystal, she runs into a bit of trouble and is injected with some kryptonite that makes her relive a big secret. Clark also gets to view what she saw. This is a huge moment in Smallville. Clark will be able to see his birth mother for the first time. Comic book loyal, this one is not to be missed!
BILL MAHER

FRIDAY @ 11:00 P.M. on HBO
Bill’s guest are Martin Short, Valerie Plame, Markos Moulitsas, & Alison Stewart. Bill is the politically Incorrect comedian, who delivers the news on politics in a fresh & funny way, but still debating on serious topics today. Guest always including leading politicians, celebrities, and those causing a stir in the world of politics. Bill has gained a very young audience, they are listening. I would love to see the Presidential candidates on his show.
THE AMAZING RACE PREMIER

Sunday, November 4th on CBS 8 P.M.
This season looks very interesting, with a great selection of people to join in the race. From a goth couple, a grandson and grandfather, father and daughter, and lesbian ministers. It’s always great to catch the premiere episode, to see how first impressions sway your favorites. I think the two L.A. blonds flirting their way through the competition wont work around the world. We actually love watching the teams bond. This show inflicts challenges both difficult, and emotional. The Amazing Race gets our loyal weekly viewing.
The Shot

Sunday @ 10 P.M. on Vh1
Ten amateur photographers battle it out for the all time shot at 100,000 dollars, a Victoria Secret campaign, and a photo spread in Marie Claire magazine. World famous photographer veteran Russell James will guide the photographers an mentor them to the grand prize. This show should be great, think America’s Next Top Model, its by the same producers. There will be a panel of judges that will determine who is the best after this 30 day experience.

GALLERY HD

I think that if Leonardo Da Vinci was able to use this technique in 1483, (the year that he painted the 1st version of the Virgin), Art history would be different today.
Who said that in order to paint you need to use canvas? Well, Julian Beever proved that you can find beauty in the most strange places…
This English artist has the talent to convert flat images into 3-D visuals. Beever uses sidewalks and walls to apply colors in unique, vivid and intriguing ways, and has been using this technique for the last decade. His art has been viewed by pedestrians all over the world. Places include his native country the UK, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Australia and of course, the USA.
Gallery HD filmed a documentary of his artistic process from the beginning until the final brush stroke.
